Hoffmantown’s Round Up
Round up your friends and family and come enjoy our church wide picnic Sunday, September 12, from 5-7pm, in the patio/grass/parking lot area just east of the church building. The fun will include activities for all…and a Pastoral Quartet! Hoffmantown will provide sliced BBQ brisket (without buns), paper goods, tea and water, and free Kona ice for the kids. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share (bring this at 4:30pm to set up), games of your choice, a blanket and/or lawn chairs, as well as a friend. You don’t want to miss this!
Truth Matters (New Sermon Series)
There is a battle today concerning truth. What is truth, and does it even matter? The Bible gives us strong truth and clearly tells us Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH, and the Life. As Christians, we are to walk in the truth, deny deception, and defend the truth. Join us on August 22nd for a new sermon series on the book of Jude as we study what truth is and that Truth Matters!

STUDENTS & KIDS MINISTRY
AWANA Season Starting!
AWANA is gearing up for another awesome year of discipleship of kids 2 years through 8th grade! Our new year starts next Wednesday, August 25 with registration night this Wednesday, August 18. We are looking for some awesome adults to come help kids and their families grow in their walk with the Lord. We need people to assist with all our age groups. Specifically, we are seeking a Club Director (lead teacher) for our Puggles Club. Puggles are our youngest AWANA kiddos. They are 2 years old at the start of the year and are learning the foundations of our faith. If you are interested in serving, come see where our needs are at the table in the Fellowship Mall or contact Kids Ministry at kids@hoffmantown.org today! For more information, please visit us at hoffmantownchurch.org/awana.

Preschoolers will be learning all about Creation to explore God’s handiwork. Kindergarten-6th graders will be doing some awesome chemistry experiments to learn about just how creative our God really is. The cost is $10 per child with a family maximum of $40. Registration is available at hoffmantownchurch.org/events/pno.
MISSION
Mission Prayer Moment
Please be in continued prayer for Tom and Lynn Jackson as they try to make their way back into the field. Your generosity to them and their ministry has benefited them greatly in returning to the field. COVID quarantines, restrictions, and logistics are still to be overcome, but because of your kindness the unexpected rise in travel costs has been taken care of. Please join the Mission Council and Mission Office in praying for their safe return to the field.
