CHURCH COUNCIL
churchcouncil@hoffmantown.org
Current Members:
Elders: Gerald Farley and Merv Jersak
Pastors: Lamar Morin and Gregory Elder
Deacons: Stacy Fugate and John Stockton
Operations: Sam Mouck
At Large Members: Nathan Brannon, Jeff McElwain, Stacey Lake, Dave Pitcher, Jerri Rose, and Linda Rupp
The Church Council heard from Dane Wilkerson regarding the Student Ministry in the last Council meeting. God has been working in this ministry, and it is in a steady growth pattern with individual students growing in evangelism, ministry to others, discipleship and Christ-likeness. One new adult volunteer has recently been added in the junior high section, Kyle Craft.
The students passed out 55 flyers, at the October 31 Fall Festival, promoting the Disciple Day 2023 “Death to Life” which was held on November 4. A youth retreat is being planned for early 2024, probably in March, with hopes of at least doubling 2023’s attendance. Please pray! The “Share Wall” holds the initials of 63 unsaved people that are being prayed for and shared with. Discipleship classes are meeting every Wednesday night as the youth study together the gospel of Luke.
As a church we are asked to pray for the Student Ministry and its leaders and volunteers, to volunteer as you feel led to join in this ministry, and to invite any students you may know to become involved. Thank you for your prayers!
