Report from the Church Council Meeting

The Church Council heard a report from Roger Tesch regarding the building maintenance and facility staff (6 full-time, 1 part-time). The roof is in good shape after some recent repairs and adjustments. Planned in the spring is the striping and sealing of the parking lot; for the future, the valve system for the HVAC will need to be upgraded.

The Elders presented their policies and procedures to the Council for review.

From Pastor Lamar: staff evaluations were completed in December with encouraging participation; six new Kids Express families were added recently. Prayer is requested for God’s leading and provision of a Student Ministry pastor.

The Council talked about ways of supporting the Kids Ministry better and updating the facility to be more inviting to kids and families.

The Council asks that the Church continue to pray for the Land Sale group, with a possible closing on the land in late spring. Also pray for the Stewardship Discovery group, chaired by Gerald Farley.
