ALL CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Pastor Appreciation Month
“Thank you” can go a long way…October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Our Pastors, Elders and Directors are not after man’s approval but work for God’s approval as bondservants of Christ, shepherding as ones who will give an account to God. Each year we set aside the month of October to honor our amazing Hoffmantown Church leaders. For the next month, let’s come together and show them the depth of our gratitude for all that they do for us!

Here are some ways that you can participate as you prayerfully consider how you can be a conduit of grace, hope and love to build up our leaders this month.
Prayer – “Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians 5:25

Pause for a few moments every day to pray for each of our Hoffmantown Church leaders and their families. A list of our Pastors, Directors and Elders can be found here: https://www.hoffmantownchurch.org/staff/.

Gratitude and Encouragement – We have been impacted by each of these incredible Hoffmantown Church leaders in life-changing ways and we cannot thank them enough for the way they faithfully serve us. 1 Thessalonians 5:13 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” Let’s practice this together. If you have an encouraging word for any of our leaders, use this month to write them a note and tell them how they have impacted your life. Simply drop a card or note in an offering box or in the mail.

Fall Annual Church Meeting
Thanks to everyone who came out for the ministry updates, the voting and the fun (Caitlin led us in Rock-Paper-Scissors) of the annual church business meeting last Sunday afternoon. All nominees for official positions were overwhelmingly approved by vote by members present. The two motions making minor changes in the bylaws wording were also passed by large margins. Thank you to everyone who took time to participate.

August Month-End Update from the Finance Committee
So far this year, giving has exceeded expenses (receipts= $2,267,924, expenses = $2,196,871).  Your faithfulness is encouraging. The Finance Committee members were blessed to visit each of the Sunday School classes. Thanks for your questions and prayer support as we serve the Lord and you. If you have any questions about the church finances, contact any member of the Finance Committee (Ken Abbott, Doug Lawson, Fran Stribling, Regan Stinnett, JoAnn Polk, Robert Ewing or Jerri Rose).

STUDENT MINISTRY

Hey Hoffmantown Student Ministry!
Fall is here, the leaves are beginning to change and this season always reminds me of God’s call on our lives to share the GOSPEL! Let’s remember our mission to pray for, share with and help those in our circle of influence to grow in Christ. Remember Jesus’ call on your life: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 CSB

7-12th graders see you Wednesday nights from 6:30-8pm and Sundays 11am-12:15pm in building E!
