THE STORY tells of the life-transforming power of the life of Christ. It will help everyone know HIM, so they can follow HIM. It is fresh and powerful in the truths it presents.
THE STORY will be told through the character of Simon of Cyrene, the man who helped Jesus carry his cross from the streets of Jerusalem to his crucifixion on Golgotha.
THE STORY will include an introduction of Simon, the linage of Joseph and Mary from the line of David, the birth, the visit by the shepherds and the Wiseman, the wedding in Cana, the visit by Nicodemus, the ministry of Jesus to bind up the broken-hearted and to set the captives free, the Prodigal Son, the market place and triumphant entry, the Passover and last supper, the trial and crucifixion, His resurrection, and a Christmas finale.
This new one hour and forty minute presentation includes nine (9) brand new songs and four (4) songs never used in The Promise before. We are only repeating four (4) songs from previous productions. It also includes some special effects and media we have never used before.
Even though the production tells the life of Christ, it still has a very strong Christmas feeling and flavor to it. We use Christmas songs for the birth, the Wisemen’s visit, and for the finale.
