Nursery Ministry
The Nursery Ministry serves children from birth through two years. We provide loving childcare during the 9:30 and 11:00am Sunday morning services and Wednesday evening classes. Staffed by qualified, trained workers and parent volunteers, this ministry believes that children begin learning about God from birth. As a result, we seek to teach the children about Him through love, God’s Word, and care for both the children and their families. In addition, we have a security system in place to provide the best possible care for our children. The nursery is located on the first floor of the building.
Infants/Babies
All infants in this room are cared for by adult caregivers and parent volunteers. We will feed your infant according to your instructions. No snacks are given in this room. A Bible lesson is taught. A Nursing Mother’s room (located by our Infant room) is provided for the privacy of our moms.
Crawlers
Once your child begins to crawl, they will be promoted. These rooms have adult caregivers as well as parent volunteers. An appropriate snack is provided for the toddlers. A Bible lesson is taught.
Toddlers
Children who begin walking are promoted to the Toddler room. Toys and videos as well as snacks are provided. A Bible lesson is taught.
Security System
Parent Pager enhances a ministry’s security by providing documentation of who is authorized to pickup a child by way of photo identification each time the child is checked in. The “Check IN” and “Check OUT” slips printed by Parent Pager have a picture of the child and a picture of each person who is authorized to pick up the child. A caregiver can look at a check out slip and quickly know if they should release the child to the person requesting the child. Are we tough? Yes!
How It Works
When a family checks in, they pick up a pager and Parent Pager immediately prints nametags and check in slips for the children.
Parents attach the nametag to the child prior to arrival at the classroom and drops off the child and the check in slip with the caregiver.
Parents can be called wherever they are on campus and directed to where they are needed. Good news messages can also be sent to a parent when their child settles down so that they can focus on the service.
How You Can Help Us
- Label all belongings with your child’s name (bags/cups/pacifiers)
- Leave your child at the door
- Bring only a well child with no symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, fever, rash, open sores, or runny noses (anything other than clear) within the last 24 hours.
- After becoming a member (Sunday School or Church), sign up to be a volunteer nursery caregiver and help us provide care for our little ones. We currently serve one time per 6 weeks.
- A parent must be on campus if children are on church property.
