Boundaries with Marie Cain, Judy Neal, (13 weeks) * Room B212
Having clear boundaries is essential to following after God. All too often, however, Christians focus so much on being judged as loving and unselfish that they fail to follow God’s unique call upon their life. Living for the praise and approval of men, they forfeit God’s best. How do I answer someone who requests my time, love, energy, or money, when God has not led me to say “yes” to their request? Jesus said, “No man takes my life, I lay my life down freely.” Learn how to walk in the freedom of allowing God to determine how your life is spent (your life belongs to Him) rather than trying to please men (and so become their slave). Pre-registration highly recommended. Group limited to first 20 participants that pre-register. Group closes to new participants after 2nd week.
Required Resources: Boundaries, book & workbook available for $28 at the LRC

3. Every Man’s Battle (Men ONLY) with Dale Coffing and Roger Tesch (13 weeks) * Response Room
American men are in a tough position. They live in a culture awash with sensual images available twenty-four hours a day through a variety of media. It is virtually impossible to avoid such temptations…but, thankfully, not impossible to rise above them. That process starts when men realize two things: First, they are not alone. In fact, sixty-five percent of men at Promise Keepers indicated they have a problem with pornography. Second, there is help; real, honest, life- changing help. Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoker effectively shatter the perception that men are unable to control their roving eyes or put a brake on their thought lives; in Christ’s strength, all things are possible. Every Man's Battle shares the stories of dozens who have escaped the trap of immorality. It is mandatory reading for men who have fallen in the past and who want to learn to walk with the Lord, in overcoming temptation now and in the future. Written in a brother-to-brother style, Every Man's Battle also includes sections for women, designed to help them understand, empathize, and support the men they love. Pre-registration highly recommended. Group closes to new participants after 2nd week.
Required Resources: Every Man’s Battle by Stephen Arterburn & Fred Stoeker available for $15 at the LRC

5. Trusting (Women ONLY) with Syble Fulton, Glenice Mummau (13 weeks) * Room B217
Trusting is the issue at the heart of every relationship. Pat Springle’s book, “Trusting” will be offered as a 13-week study that offers you sound biblical guidance for rebuilding damaged trust and developing perceptive trust. These astute insights will help you break down isolating barriers, take risks to trust again, and experience true intimacy with God and others. Please join us as we explore together in a caring and safe setting, these issues of the hearts. Maybe you have been betrayed by your parents, a spouse, friends, or even a church leader. Your pain may be so severe that you are unable to trust again. When this happens, says author Pat Springle, you may choose one of three ineffective and unhealthy ways to feel safe. We will look at these three unhealthy ways and with God’s leadership and healing; we will depend upon Him for correction and direction, and intimacy with Him. Pre-registration highly recommended. Group limited to first 10 participants that pre-register. Group closes to new participants after 2nd week.
Required Resources: Trusting by Pat Springle (purchase in class first night $10)

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4) If your life has been touched at any time in any fashion by cancer, come be a part of us as we encourage each other by using God’s Word.
