Patrick Newbill, Children’s Pastor

Children's Ministry

Patrick Newbill, Children’s Pastor
Phone: 858-8617 | Email: patrickn@hoffmantown.org
Patrick comes from Chattanooga, TN where he served as Children’s Pastor at Woodland Baptist Church. He came to Hoffmantown in May of 2008. He is married to K.C. and has two children, Christi, 14 and Curtis, 13. Saved at the age of 17, he began to understand the surrendered lifestyle while sitting under the teaching of Wayne Barber (’90-’99). He then became a Children’s Pastor while receiving his Biblical Counseling MDIV from Southeastern Seminary. The most influential verse in his ministry has been 1 Corinthians 13:11 in which Paul states that when he was a child he spoke as a child, thought as a child, and reasoned as a child. Children think differently than adults. If we are to be effective at ministering to a child (the most fertile mission field) we must enter his world and relate Biblical truth on his level.

Terry Adams, Worship Pastor

Worship Ministry

Terry Adams, Worship Pastor
Phone: 858-8628 | Email: terrya@hoffmantown.org
Terry grew up in Kentucky, but comes to us from Atlanta, Georgia where he served as Worship Pastor for almost fifteen years. Terry is married to Christina. They are the parents of two older daughters and one daughter at home, Joanna, a mid-schooler at Hope Christian. Christina was flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 25 years. “The greatest passion of my life is to know God and live out my life purpose and calling. One of the greatest joys of my life is leading God’s people in heart-felt, Christ-exalting, spirit-and-truth worship. It is my desire to facilitate an experience of worship that will engage the hearts of every believer. I long to help others better understand the priority of worship in the life of the believer. I embrace the Biblical view that worship is the lifestyle of a believer. I understand the call to “come and follow” Jesus to be a call to come and worship. God has called me to join Him in creating environments where He can be celebrated and praised. When we understand more fully that worship is a relationship with God that empowers all of life (and all we do as a church) it stops just being a function of the church and becomes life to us. It becomes our response, both publicly and privately, to God, for who he is and what he has done for us; and we begin to express that response in and through the things we say and the way we live our lives. Worship has to do with real life. Our worship empowers all we do to serve our loving Savior: evangelism, teaching, serving, ministry and equipping. Worship is the center, because God is the center.”

Dave has been in full time ministry since 1968. He grew up in a pastor’s home and learned ministry at his father’s side. Dave’s schooling, gifts, and God’s spirit called his heart to help people establish their lives through faith in God’s word. That faith is evident by his living in the simplicity of a pure heart that overflows into the winning of souls to Christ. Dave has served six churches in full time ministry. He also served Milldale International Ministries in camp and conference work for ten years and gave fifteen years of his life to evangelism throughout the US and other countries. During his service to the Lord, he traveled for thirteen years providing conference music and teaching. He helped establish youth camps and has served churches as music minister, youth and family life director. He and his wife Charlyene have had the joy of raising five children and sharing a lifetime ministry.
